The Famous Snow Train Sacramento - Reno February 9th - 13th 2010
Getting there is half of the fun... from the lush Sacramento Valley into the historic Mother Lode Country.... up to the High Sierras... Let it snow, let it snow, undeniably romantic... this is one of America's most spectacular rail rides! Party and dance as we snake our way leisurely through the beautiful mountains, sing in the Piano Lounge Car, like Bing Crosby's yodeling party clickity-clacking toward Vermont in "White Christmas" only with better views (sorry, Vermont). Strollin minstrels, magician and fun themes add to the festivities. Soon we'll arrive in the Biggest Little City in the World - Reno...

Spring in Ashland May 5th - 7th
Spring time in Ashland: In May the air is warm, the days longer, the sunsets brighter and the hills are green. This is our favorite time to visit our southern neighbors... the crowds of summer have not yet arrived, it's lovely to sit outside day or evening, and the entertainment is wonderful as always.

Death Valley & Yosemite National Parks May 24th - 28th

Boise Basque Festival The Jaialdi July 28th - August 1st
The Basques... as an ethnic group primarily inhabit an area traditionally known as the Basque Country, a region that is located around the western end of the Pyrenees on the coast of the Bay of Biscay and straddles parts of north-eastern Spain and south-western France. Boise... Idaho's capital and largest population of Basque people in the U.S. celebrates with a festival known as the Jaialdi every 5 years... The celebration is based around the religious feast day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, patron saint of the Basques and founder of the Jesuit religious order. It includes exhibitions of music, dance, and sports; a mass, picnic, and both indoor and outdoor dances.
