Fall Foliage on the “Fruit Loop”… Saturday, October 21st, 2017

On this tour, we will travel the highways and byways through gorgeous Oregon scenery. Our first stop is Timberline Lodge for a tour and lunch. Considered an architectural wonder, it’s still being used for its original intent – a magnificent ski lodge and mountain retreat for all to enjoy. President Franklin Roosevelt dedicated the completed lodge in person – on September 28, 1937. Next we’ll head down the mountain through the “Fruit Loop” first stop Packard Farms nestled in the beautiful Hood River Valley between Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, Packer Orchards has become a destination farm offering seasonal fruit, homemade bakery, and pumpkins. Then, we’re off to the WAAAM Museum in Hood River. See one of the largest collections of still-flying antique airplanes and antique automobiles… We just might be able to hitch a ride in an antique car! Afterwards, take in all the beauty as we head through the Columbia River Gorge… beautiful! Includes Transportation lunch at Timberline, tours of the WAAAM Museum & Timberline Lodge.
