Trip Overview
What's Included
Ten days. Two countries. One unforgettable springtime journey through the heart of the Low Countries. From Amsterdam’s historic canals and world-renowned museums to the medieval streets of Bruges and the moving history of Ypres, this carefully crafted OregonWest adventure showcases the very best of the Netherlands and Belgium during tulip season.
Your journey begins in Amsterdam, where a private canal cruise, the Rijksmuseum, and charming canal-ring neighborhoods provide an ideal introduction to Dutch culture and history. After crossing into Belgium, you’ll spend two nights in enchanting Bruges, one of Europe’s most beautifully preserved medieval cities. A guided food tour introduces local specialties, while a visit to Ypres and the acclaimed In Flanders Fields Museum offers a powerful and unforgettable perspective on the First World War.
Returning to Amsterdam, the experience continues with some of the Netherlands’ most iconic sights. Wander among millions of blooming flowers at Keukenhof Gardens, stand before the masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh in the world’s largest Van Gogh collection, and explore the traditional windmills, cheese farms, and artisan workshops of Zaanse Schans. Your final days feature the deeply moving Anne Frank House, the historic Rembrandt House Museum, and the beautiful botanical gardens of Hortus Botanicus.
With thoughtfully selected hotels, included sightseeing, hosted meals, private transportation, and an OregonWest Tour Director accompanying the group from Portland throughout the journey, every detail has been arranged so you can simply enjoy the experience.
