Trip Overview

Feel the warm Gulf air on your face as the San Luis Resort comes into view and Galveston spreads out along the Seawall. Watch dolphins arc through the harbor waters on a leisurely afternoon cruise. Stand inside the humble Johnson City home where a future President spent his boyhood. Lift a glass of Texas Tempranillo on a Hill Country patio as the afternoon light turns golden across the vineyards. Walk the five-minute path from your River Walk hotel to a farewell dinner at San Antonio’s most celebrated table. And on your last afternoon in Texas, pull on a pair of boots at Allen’s and eat Michelin-recognized brisket in the city that invented cool. Eight days. Four remarkable cities. Seventeen hosted meals. One beautifully orchestrated journey through a state that has to be experienced to be believed — and a group of like-minded travelers to share every moment with.

What's Included

Eight days. Four cities. One journey through a state that has to be experienced to be believed — from the warm salt air of the Gulf Coast to the vineyards and limestone hills of the Texas Hill Country to the living history and legendary dining of San Antonio’s River Walk. This is Texas at its most varied, most vivid, and most welcoming — fully escorted, beautifully arranged, and shared with a small group of like-minded travelers.

Your adventure begins on the Gulf Coast, where two nights at the San Luis Resort on Galveston’s Seawall set the tone from the moment you arrive. The Strand, Moody Mansion, a harbor cruise, and the freshest seafood in Texas fill the days before the journey turns inland through NASA country and into the rolling green terrain of the Hill Country.

Fredericksburg anchors the middle chapter — two nights in one of Texas’s most charming small towns, with LBJ’s boyhood home, one of America’s finest military museums, and two Hill Country winery tastings woven through two unhurried days. Then San Antonio takes over: two nights at the Drury Plaza Hotel steps from the River Walk, the UNESCO-listed Missions, The Pearl, the Tower of the Americas, and a farewell dinner at the city’s most celebrated table.

Friday brings one final morning — the Texas State Capitol, Michelin-recognized barbecue at Terry Black’s, and a last hour on South Congress before the coach turns toward Austin Bergstrom and the flight home.
